Worst cruise ever

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Seaside

It was a maiden voyage. However, everything was terrible. They don’t care about Americans. TV for 21 days every language but English. Closet door fell off twice. Evevators always not working. Shows were repeats and they wouldn’t let you see it twice. No activities to do. Food was TERRIBLE both in dining room and buffet. Buffet was closed most of the time and the and the water or juice machine was ...

Cruised from Venice to Rio over a 3 week period. Had been to most of European ports before, but chose this cruise for the stops in Brazil. Unfortunately had to miss Fortaleza due to strong winds, and it rained most of day in Buzios. Overall we liked the ship having a comfortable balcony cabin, although the wardrobe space was a bit small. The ship was in good condition, but there were some ...

We did the 22 day cruise from Venice to Buenos Aires and loved the ship and all the lovely spaces with tons of lounges and chairs to sit and enjoy a drink. We found the staff to be very nice and helpful and friendly. We had read reviews that Guest Services were not helpful but we found them to be extremely helpful when we had questions or requests. Our one major complaint was the food - ...

A great disappointment

The food in both the buffet and the dining rooms was marginal. The entertainment especially the guest entertainers were terrible with the exception of Guillermo Guido. The disembarkation in Buenos Aires was a disaster. People were pushing others out of the way, ramming others with their suitcases and cart . No direction from management. It took four hours to get off ship. The excursions with the ...

Some good things, but also a few niggles

Selected this cruise because it had a few new destinations for us, and we got a decent deal, with flights and hotels either end. Embarking at Brindisi could have been faster, with the shuttle buses packed to capacity. The experience could have been better. We were impressed with the ship, which seemed very modern and spacious with a range of lounges to relax in, Cabin was comfortable and fairly ...

Just completed a Mediterranean cruise on MSC Poesia. As mentioned by others, the buffet was limited selection, repetitive menu, and poor quality food at best. In general the guests were pushy and rude at the buffet. "Hog feeding," is the image that came to mind. Servers were unresponsive and detached. We were refused service in the deck five dining room and left after 30 minutes of waiting and ...

We are retired and cruise at least once a year. This was our first Mediterranean cruise and we chose it because of the itinerary. The embarkation process went smoothly and our cabin was immaculate and a great location. Our cabin service was very good as well. It was always cleaned when we returned from our day out. However, we took this cruise to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday & our ...

Pretty average experience

We choose this cruise due to the locations it stopped in and in honesty the affordable price , but I suppose the truth is you get what you paid for. The ship was mostly full of Italians and Germans, English speakers were very much the minority and although that is not a total handicap I personally believe the ship is very much set up to accomodate the needs of its biggest customer group which ...

Lovely Experience

My wife always wanted to see Venice, so this cruise was perfect for us as Venice was both the embarkation and disembarkation port, where we spent an evening prior to boarding day. Our travel agent also recommended MSC due to her having previous employment experience with them. Boarding was delayed due to the ship being denied entry into port due to heavy fog, once commenced, boarding was a bit ...

SO, I was expecting nothing by taking this cruise. I had read so many negative reviews on MSC and the food..etc.. But since the itinerary was so beautiful, we decided to give it a try. Well, this cruise exceded my expectations... First, it started quite rough since we were in room 8191.. right over the Chrystal lounge.. OMG! We called the reception, they offered to move us for the night to ...
