Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Lirica

We had never heard of this cruise line but ran the Eastern Italy and Greece and it fit our schedule. We didn’t have a lot of expectations of this cruise but it turned out to be one of the most fun cruises we have ever been on! As Americans we were concerned that we would not understand what was going on, but we actually did just fine as they make announcements and daily information letter in ...

Boarding in Venice was fine. Long walk with baggage from the cruise terminal drop off. we had a balcony cabin towards the back of the ship, and the vibration was extreme. we called the customer service desk and we told that it would stop after a while. No other balcony rooms were available, but lost of excuses from the staff, but the vibration made me regret the whole trip. They did give us one ...

Just returned from a 7 night cruise on this ship and was really impressed with the ship. I had read a number of reviews with a mix of good and bad but struggle to find real negatives. The ship has the option for dining buffet or sit down dinner and would always go for sit down. The buffet lunch was repetitive but tell who doesn't like pizza or pasta. The shows on board again can only say ...

Very disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

Let me start by saying that the staff on the Sifonia was amazing. Sadly, they all were miserable and ready for their "sentence" to end. We sailed from Venice to Split, Croatia, to Santorini, Mykonos another stop in Italy and back to Venice. The cruise ship and MSC as a whole was a tragic disgrace and I would NEVER ever recommend it to anyone. - Horrible coordination & process - ...

First of all the positives. We had a lovely cabin, very clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful on the whole and did try their best. The bar areas were lovely as was the theatre. The entertainment in the theatre pretty average. The entertainment team were also very good at what they did. However the negatives of this ship outweigh the positives and for all of the following ...

This is our experience on the MSC Sinfonia. We would not recommend this to anyone and we sent them this back in July and we didn't event get a reply! I repeat DO NOT travel with MSC. Positives: - Tri our dinner server at Galleon restaurant was amazing, as well as Robin who served us our breakfast and lunch. Bruna, the waitress at the Buddha bar also was great, and all house keeping services ...

This was such a disappointment! From the moment we arrived on this ship. Although excited to meet our friends and enjoy a 50th, a 40th and a 16th birthday celebration amid visit peaches were had never been, we were nothing but disappointed and upset by what went on. This was the first cruise for half of our group and the 6th or 7th for the other half, although all first time customers of MSC. ...

Customer Service is Lacking

I do not want to give 3 stars, but 2 stars wouldn’t be fair, because there are some hard-working crew members onboard who did their best to make guests feel special. Let me begin with this disclaimer: I am an American and this was my first experience with a European cruise line. My expectations of a cruise clearly do not align with the European way, so this cruise might have been fantastic for ...

The boat is very neat. Our cabins were clean and more than enough space. The people cleaning our cabin was very friendly and helpful. Buffett meals were very nice. And all that you need. More than enough food even between meals were food served. The entertainment staff was entertaining and friendly. Biggest disappointment for us was people working as bar staff on the pool deck. After a hot day ...

Avoid Sinfonia

As a couple we have been on MSC Divina and Preziosa on Western Mediterranean. We expected similar experience on Sinfonia; however, it was not the case at all. 1) Embarkation was extremely tiring in Venice. Very slow check in the heat resulted in one passenger to be taken to hospital. We checked in at 12:30; our bags showed up at 18:40 after complaining. Most bars on board were closed even ...
