Much improved from summer reviews

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Divina

This was my very first Transatlantic cruise. I booked it early because the low price was too great to miss out on. Then I started reading the reviews coming out during summer and was worried I would have a bad experience. It seems the cruiseline was reading them also. Most of the staff on our sailing had only been working on the ship for 2 months or less, which means they fired all the old ...

So this is our 4th MSC cruise , and have sailed with various other lines to compare to. Generally a great cruise, beautiful ship, good food and great staff. Here are a few key bits... Boarding- We boarded at Tenerife in the mid point of a 21 day cruise so there was only 200 others boarding today. Took 5minutes! Brilliant Ship at 50% capacity so nothing was busy anywhere! Not sure what ...

As bad as the first time

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Magnifica

We cruised MSC, actually on Magnifica, 3 years ago, and were not impressed. THe itinerary for this ship was interesting and fit our tight schedule, so I reluctantly tried it again. I won't be fooled a third time. MSC is a budget line. That's fine. But the food was inedible. While our servers were very good, the food routinely came out cold. Sometimes it was cold food on a hot plate (how is ...

My wife and I have sailed on MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida which are the biggest ships flying the MSC flag and decided at Easter15 to have a week in Santa Cruz, Tenerife and a weeks cruise on the newly refurbished MSC Armonia sailing the Canaries and up to Casablanca. Looking at other reviews there is a real mixed bag of good and bad re MSC. We had fantastic cruises on Fantasia and ...

Value for money cruise ship without the glamour and glitz

We have just returned from a 7 day cruise on the MSC Armonia from Gran Canaria. The cruise embarkation actually begins in Tenerife and sails to the Canary Islands and Morrocco. The ship is very clean and all of the public areas are well maintained and comfortable. Our cabin 9125 was of a good size and very well furnished with comfortable bedding including a duvet. The bathroom towels were changed ...

1st let me give you the good points about this ship, it has been re-modernized and is a lovely ship to look at but i'm afraid that's it. Now for the bad, We have been on many different cruise lines in the past and have to say that this is the worst by a country mile, the reception staff are unhelpful and struggle to speak English or choose not to understand you,There was a permanent queue of ...

Few frills, few faults

After reading some of the reviews, our expectations were not that high but thought that, for what we were paying, it would be a cheap break. As we were already in Tenerife, we were not part of a large group so Check In was extremely efficient and quick, but unfortunately, no one told us that there was a shuttle to get to the ship, so we had quite a walk along the dockside. We were on board at ...

We booked for the 7th to 14th Feb 2014 cruise embarking in Tenerife. The itinerary included two further Islands in the Canaries and also Casablanca and Agadir. First impressions of the ship were very pleasing everything looked immaculate and very classy, we have cruised before with Holland America line and was not expecting anywhere near the same standard but were pleasantly surprised, we had ...

This was no your first cruise and may I say if it was I would not Book another. To start the transfer to the ship was late totally disorganised which meant we lost Time on the first day. When we finally got settled in we used the main restaurant and the the food was not very good at all Luke warm rather than hot, and the service was very slow all through the cruise the service from all staff ...
