We chose this cruise because it was priced competitively and was going to the New England ports we have been wanting to visit. The staff on the ship did a very good job and they treated us well. Getting on the ship was easy and some of the ports were really nice. Now that I have covered all the positives, let me share the negatives.
1-the cabin was not as clean as we would have liked.
2-we ...
Previously sailed other MSC ships with good to excellent experiences. Happy to find this ship sailing from NYC. Unfortunately, the cruise was plagued by what we experienced as poor management planning, execution and equally poor customer service on deck 5.
What we liked - Room was always well cleaned and maintained. Entertainment by dancers and singers was the best. Main Dining Room service ...
We chose this cruise as we liked the look of the itinerary and wanted to give MSC a try! We are seasoned cruisers having cruised as a family and a couple with all the major players.
We arrived at Brooklyn Pier, NYC, expecting great things having heard how great the ship was…….. in fairness, the ship itself could not be faulted. Beautiful, clean and well appointed…… great shame the rest of the ...
We booked our 1st cruise experience on MSC Meriviglia for a 16 day cruise to Bermuda and then on to the New England and Canada.
THE SHIP: I will say that the MSC Meriviglia is a beautiful ship which can hold up to 5,000 passengers. We have been on the Oasis + Allure of the Seas so we have some experience being on a ship this size. While the Oasis and Allure of the seas can hold 6,500 ...
We took this cruise to see what MSC is all about. Never sailed on any other cruise line before just NCL. But with recent cutbacks in many areas and the increased cost to sail with them, it was time to try something else.
In the past MSC has been blasted with so many negative reviews, everything from “ too European “, poor entertainment, bad service, and questionable negative food reviews, thing ...
We recently completed our Second Cruise i With MSC on the Meravigilla to Bermuda. Our first cruise was with the Divinia in the Caribbean. It was wonderful. The boat was wonderful, We were able to choose our room, the entertainment outstanding and the food was none like we had experienced with a cruise line We received wonderful incentives . Balcony room, On board credit and Free all inclusive ...
We usually cruise only Carnival and decided to try MSC as the price good for a family cruise to Bermuda. We traveled with 10 people in 3 cabins. Overall the ship is beautiful. The food was normal cruise food with a few outstanding offerings at the buffet. We didn’t eat at any of the speciality restaurants. Always was able to get a chair at the pool and the kids (3 yo and three 6 yo) had a ...
Traveled with a group of about 16 people. First time on MSC cruise usually travel on NCL or Carnival. The house keeper that cleaned my cabin was awesome. Dinning room host didn't seem pleasant. To me I felt dinning staff shrugged off my food allergy so was very worried about eating on the ship. What food I did receive was cold.
I'm also a little more conservative and never experienced ...
It was a good value for a break to see Bermuda and we are both fit and in our 60's. We had never seen Bermuda before.
I recommend taking the ferry near Wall Street to the Red Hook stop ($4 each way per person) that is very close to the ship and the Brooklyn Terminal building. I have traveled on RCL and HAL and once on Cunard. The ship is a beautiful very glitzy chrome and Italian modern ship ...
They seemed to be disorganized. They had shows in the main passage way at the same time there theater show was letting out which caused confusion to many people at one time in the same place. The ship had some bad smells around the ship. Their market place buffet was very confusing as well as too crowded. It was nearly impossible to find a seat. The person I was traveling with has a gluten ...
