MSC DID WELL: the nightly entertainment was excellent. Jennifer Tierney had such a powerful voice. The ship singers and dancers were superb and well choreographed. The 3 tenors performance was exceptional. The room stewards and main dining room staff worked very hard to ensure we were well looked after. The pizza in the buffet was incredible...dare I say...addictive. I have lots of new weight I ...
Loved the cabins and Ocean Cay. The cabins and their bathrooms are pretty big but cozy and clean. I ended up spending a lot of my time relaxing in my cabin and slept well. Ocean Cay was beautiful and there are many beaches you can go to and many excursions you can go on. Very clean island. The ice cream there was very good on the island. Entertainment was okay. The entertainers themselves were ...
Initially booked cruise for the low price but that's how they get you. Once on board you get hit with $100 per person hotel fee which you are NOT warned about and then you are nickel and dimed for everything else. Bland food which never changes in the buffet. Every morning the eggs were so wet they were swimming in egg juice. Most of the food literally tasted like Dinty Moore stew. Most of the ...
I decided to splurge on the yacht club for this one, after reading so many bad reviews regarding the main ship.
We were in the worst room I have ever stayed on in any ship. Upon entering the room for the first time, it was ripe with the strong odor of raw sewage. Just lovely!! Our room steward....or "butler" as they like to call them, assured me they could correct the issue. They did correct ...
We truly enjoyed this wonderful cruise. There were lots of good food from buffet to luxurious restaurants. We also had yummy drinks at the bar. We enjoyed dancing the night as well. The casino was fun, although we lost a lot of money. I look forward to coming back and winning next time! There was also a photographer who captured some nice pictures of us. We also went shopping. The Broadway shows ...
While not the most experience cruisers, we have been fortunate to have 20+ cruises under our belt. Primarily with NCL with bunch of Carnival and a few Holland America. This was our first MSC cruise.
As we were Yacht Club guests we received all the perks from the time we walked into the terminal to the time we disembarked.
A truly amazing experience and well worth the price of admission. ...
We chose this cruise for a fun weekend activity. Instead it was a nightmare. The service level on divina was absolutely absent ! The bartenders were awful especially by the wet areas. Ship is old !!!!! No one could make a simple piña colada or margarita. People walking around with their loud personal speaker playing rap and spanish music all over the ship and in their cabins at 3am. Mostly ...
I was looking for a fun way to spend a weekend and found a 3-day cruise with an overnight at a private island. Never being able to stay overnight nor ever on MSC before, I read a good number of reviews, got a tier loyalty recognition from MSC via RCI, the European differences were expected to be refreshing. I have no idea what the tier was to include, it said a gift but maybe my gift was the joy ...
While the ship offered a wonderful itinerary overall the cruise itself was just ok. 14 days out of Barcelona hitting 10 counties was a wonderful draw for us. Boarding was seamless and quick and we basically were able to walk right on and directly to our room. Food was just ok, nothing to rave about but you didn't go hungry. Entertainment was below average, I have seen better at a high school ...
On our previous MSC Seaside cruise, we had a fantastic experience in an Aurea Balcony room, which is why we decided to book another MSC cruise. This time, we opted for a cheaper Fantastica Balcony room with an obstructed view, hoping to try a different style of cruising. Although I wouldn't describe this experience as terrible, it was definitely disappointing, especially when compared to our last ...
