I read a lot of horror about msc and the magnifica and is it luxury, not at all; does it have flaws, of course, was it enjoyable, very. Have an open mind because not everything can and should be perfect
1. Embarkation- very easy, we embarked an hour before scheduled time and it was totally fine. Once on board you go straight to your room (if it is ready) and you get your key card and we were ...
We went a weekend and we really had a good time because in the end it's a vacation but inside the cruise very bad service the food was fatal too many people to such an extent that there were endless queues I would never repeat. You had high expectations and I left very disappointed it's really my experience I made the mistake of not checking the comments first and for me the worst thing was that ...
After reading all the negative reviews of the Seascape, I approached this cruise with some trepidation. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised! We have been on roughly three dozen cruises, on many of the main cruise lines, so we do have some measure of comparison.
We had been given two different boarding times (not a great start) so we split the difference and arrived halfway between the two - ...
We sailed on the MSC Seascape in February in cabin 9002. We had reservations about the large number of guests (5056 on our cruise) aboard the ship (we prefer ships with 2000 guests) but to make sure we had space to retreat to we bought the extra large balcony cabin. We had a wonderful time with a few hiccups.
1) Embarkation took exactly 30 minutes from when we entered the building to crossing ...
Despite the negative reviews of MSC I chose to cruise on the Seaside because the Caribbean/Antilles itinerary was exactly what I was looking for. 6 Islands in 7 days. I booked an MSC excursion in each port and found the guides to be friendly, informative and fun. I had especially been looking forward to the Botanical Gardens and beach tour in Guadeloupe because I really enjoy the British detective ...
Only cruise I have been on. NEVER AGAIN! Crowds everywhere. Lines for everything. Loud music or crowd noise, no matter where you go. Hard to find any place to carry on a conversation. Buffet food was just OK but the sit down restrauant was very good. We had an inside room. It was nice but quite small. Everything is very glitzy and modern looking. The environment is very much based on using the MSc ...
We have been on about 15-20 cruises in our lifetime. We’ve traveled on Carnival, Celebrity, RCCL, Norwegian and now MSC. We are in our late sixties, married 35 years, live in So. Fla and cruised mostly to the Bahamas, Caribbean & Mexico as it’s the best vacation value w/out dealing with air travel. Port of Miami & Ft Laud have all the cruises you want right in our backyard. We don’t mind spending ...
The MDR was awful. Too many people crammed in. No room for the waiters to work. Terrible menus and awful food (quality and portion size). My wife had runny paella one evening and it came with one shrimp and an unopened mussel. When she complained that the mussel was probably bad the Head Waiter brought her three more unopened mussels! We only went about five times out of fourteen.
The buffet ...
We (2 adults) chose this cruise specifically for the date (it fit our calendars) and the ports - Martinique, Guadaloupe, St Lucia, Barbados, St Vincent & Grenada).
I was a bit hesitant because of all the negative reviews but WOW! We did not have a single complaint. Nice cabin (comfortable bed, veranda and full size couch.)
The food was good at both the dining room and buffet BUT the ...
Since we had already been on Msc cruise, we chose to celebrate my husband 60th birthday. We had breakfast and lunch at the buffet and dinner in the dinning room. The servers were great. They were very attentive and tried their best in communicating with us. Some spoke several languages which impressed us.
We watched every show and not all were good. We were told by a crew member that they ...
