Sailed with a friend on this winter sailing round the Med from Barcelona, and can't recommend MSC Yacht Club experience enough. From the moment you arrive and make your self know to any of the butlers, you will have the most beautiful time, MSC beat any other cruise line, hands down with the attention to detail and service for YC guests. We booked a YC Grand Suite, which was originally just ...

Initially cruise seemed to be a very good deal, 21nights from Barcelona but as soon as we landed at Barcelona the chaos commenced, MSC staff greeted us but there were no buses to transport us to the port, waited over a hour with no explanation offered. On arrival on MSC SEAVIEW we somehow managed to get our cruise pass without taking a mandatory covid test, once we pointed this out we were ...

This post is my honest open account of our holiday 23-30th October on MSC Grandiosa. There were 4 adults one with a disability and 2 children aged 5 and 2. 2x balcony rooms not connected both Fantastica. We have sailed with MSC once before. We went to celebrity and came back to MSC. Sharing this as I want readers to understand we’ve been on MSc pre covid and have that to bench this ...

We live in Spain and prefer to cruise from Barcelona. We had a thoroughly enjoyable cruise, despite the 3 hour embarkation process caused by the COVID 19 testing requirements. This was our first time with MSC, and having read lots of negative reviews about the dining experience, we were a little concerned about what to expect. We can now report that we could not fault the food. We mostly dined ...

Cruising in the age of COVID - Think TWICE

We are frequent cruisers (with several different lines), but this was our first cruise with MSC. We were excited because this cruise was supposed to go to Casablanca. In fact we chose this cruise specifically because of this destination. It was only when we printed off our cruise documents four days prior to leaving for Barcelona (non-refundable RT airfare from Miami, non-refundable prepaid ...

Beautiful ship, great entertainment, mixed dining experience

We arrived at our assigned time on Friday. Generally, boarding was smooth. However, the MSC website says one thing about testing, but the policy differed when we boarded. While the web site stated that IF we did not have a test within 48 hours of boarding we would be required to have a test at boarding. We went out of our way to get a test within the proscribed time, but were told at boarding ...

We had originally planned a cruise on another line, which was cancelled. And a second, which was cancelled. And a third, which was cancelled. Our cruise on the MSC Grandiosa was a happy accident. We sailed from Barcelona. MSC embarks and disembarks passengers at ports along the way, which I had never experienced before. Disembarkation, in particular, was much nicer this way than ...

We did a week on Grandiosa from Genoa to Malta and back on 25/10. It was great, we felt really safe and looked after. We covid tested 3 days before departure at home then again on the day of departure (MSC's test in port) and again 3 days before disembarking. Gel was everywhere as were good handwashing stations which we were made to use before all meals. We wore masks everywhere except at ...

Great boring ship

We have not cruised with MSC before, only RCCL, but as Grandiosa was the only ship that matched our preferred itinerary at the time period we could have a vacation, this had to be it. We will not cruise MSC again. It is a beautiful ship, it's sparkling, there's mirrors everywhere, and it's very obvious they are trying to be elegant and luxurious. However, that is just on the surface. Food: ...
