This was our 27th Disney cruise. We sailed Conceige. Room was a 5. Stewardess a 5. Conceige staff a 5. Restraunts a 1 at best. 45 minutes to get appetizer. 90 minutes to get main. Cold at that. I ate snacks two of the three nights because of the quality, or frustration after 90 minutes. Wife got food poisoning on meal we ate.
Elevators are poorly designed. Too few and don't go to all decks. ...
We’re small ship adults-only adventure cruisers (mostly Windstar), venturing onto a huge family-oriented ship for a short cruise to essentially nowhere, was a brave step for us. But we were pleasantly surprised. Here are our thoughts:
POSITIVE – STYLE AND DÉCOR – The Wish is breathtakingly beautiful from the largest detail (the ship) to the smallest detail (the artwork). The grand hall, ...
This is our 8th Disney Cruise. Our children who are now teenagers and young adults have grown up on DCL. We have sailed on all of the ships, with the Fantasy being our favorite.
Bottomline up front: The ship is poorly designed. Too many times people are forced to bottleneck at certain places. Restaurants are awkwardly split in two. The interior design has no unifying theme. It looks like ...
We have been on all the Disney ships and this was our 10th cruise with Disney. Our 17th cruise overall. I was very excited to see the new ship Disney Wish. However it was not as beautiful as any of the other Disney ships. Very bland especially in the staterooms. Unrecognizable as a Disney cruise. We booked an inside cabin which we have on other Disney or RCL cruises and we understand they are ...
We have been on all the Disney Ships starting in 2001. We have sailed with Disney now 15 times, so of course we had to experience the Disney Wish. We did a back-to-back this time as we needed a full week to explore without feeling rushed. First we did the 3 day cruise in Veranda stateroom 7028. Unfortunately we could not keep the same cabin as it was not available. The 4 day was in Veranda ...
Overall, The Wish is a good ship. There are some really beautiful spaces, and the staterooms are very thoughtfully designed, with lots of useful storage space. But after having been on two Disney ships, I prefer the Dream to the Wish. I found the layout on the Wish to be confusing and not as intuitive to find your way around.
Take the main lounge space, Luna, for example. The hallways that go ...
My husband, son (4) and I recently traveled on the Wish with our friends and their 8 year old daughter. We are big Disney fans, travel to Disney world multiple times a year, the cruise seemed like a natural progression. My husband has been on several cruises and was very excited for my son and I to go on our first cruise. We did a significant amount of research leading up to the trip, planned our ...
Great Cruise. Beautiful ship and friendly staff. Had a great time. We really enjoyed the rooms as the balcony’s felt spacious with a well designed interior. The rest of the ship felt really well designed. The behind the wish tour gave insight into the designing process of the ship. We really enjoyed Castaway Cay as it provided a wonderful vacation destination. The food tasted like cruise food but ...
My family and I sailed on Disney Wish December 19-23. The ship was beautifully decorated and new, obviously. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was good.
The positives stop there. The pools are very small and oddly located. We had a very rough passage to and from the Bahamas. On the last night my 12 & 14 year old daughters got food poisoning. They started throwing up at 10 pm. ...
Mom and 2-17 year old twin girls that love Disney. We have had a Disney cruise on our bucket list and since they are leaving home it was a great Christmas gift. We had no expectations, other than everyone telling us we would LOVE it. We've cruised on Royal, NCL, Carnival, Princess and Celebrity previously.
Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at port around 1 PM and were on the ship in ...
