Bari City Tour Excursion Reviews

Bari City Tour cruise excursion
Overall Rating
Bari boasts a delightfully sunny, palm-lined promenade and broad boulevards. While touring the city you will transported to medieval times with its balconied houses, Romanesque churches and pretty courtyards.

Surprised how nice Bari was with a lot of old buildings and interesting back streets Well worth a visit . Luckily it was walking distance from the ship so didn't need to book anything

The difficulty rating was a 2 however the brochure did not mention the steep hill climbing which was very difficult for some of us to do. This excursion should have been rated a 3.

The first port was Bari. The tour was okay, but it was translated into English and then French. So they tour took longer than if it was one language. The guide's English was okay.

Usual bus tour, did two stops where you could get off and explore.
The bus came back for us at the first stop and waited for us at the second.

Our tour guide was amazing, but unfortunately, Bari really isn't that cool of a city. There is a Norman Castle, which we saw from the outside and two cathedrals. The cathedrals were pretty, but nothing to incredible. One is dedicated to St. Nicholas, so if you are Catholic or Eastern Orthodox, this might be a cool stop for you.

Granted it was on a Sunday, but absolutely nothing open other than the cathedral. Dirty. Lots of locals just "hanging out". Our tour guide seemed to be very apologetic about Bari..."but you should have seen it before everything was pillaged and moved to Naples". 6 of us on the trip and definitely the low point.
