Bari boasts a delightfully sunny, palm-lined promenade and broad boulevards. While touring the city you will transported to medieval times with its balconied houses, Romanesque churches and pretty courtyards.

Our tour guide was amazing, but unfortunately, Bari really isn't that cool of a city. There is a Norman Castle, which we saw from the outside and two cathedrals. The cathedrals were pretty, but nothing to incredible. One is dedicated to St. Nicholas, so if you are Catholic or Eastern Orthodox, this might be a cool stop for you.

Granted it was on a Sunday, but absolutely nothing open other than the cathedral. Dirty. Lots of locals just "hanging out". Our tour guide seemed to be very apologetic about Bari..."but you should have seen it before everything was pillaged and moved to Naples". 6 of us on the trip and definitely the low point.
