Given the importance of Rembrandt to the world of art, as well as the city of Amsterdam, a visit to his house is highly recommended. In addition to his living quarters, you see his painting studio, rooms where he worked with his students, and a room where he met with his clients. The house is a short distance from the center of Amsterdam and easy to reach on foot.

Felt like he still lived there. Rembrandt Cafe on corner worth a stop for crepes.

The cruise line offered many different walking tours or coach excursions in Amsterdam. I took two, to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. I walked a lot on my own, just exploring the streets and flower markets, restaurants and architecture, including the Rembrandt House. It was a special holiday time in Holland (the Queens Celebration), and the peak of Keukenhof Gardens, so Amsterdam was packed with tourists and citizenry! I wasn't able to visit inside Anne Frank's house, as the lines were 2 and 3 blocks long. .
