St. Thomas Botanical Garden Excursion Reviews

St. Thomas Botanical Garden cruise excursion
Overall Rating
The Botanical Gardens on St. Thomas are nestled in the volcanic peaks of the island. Try a self-guided nature walk of the island's lush flowers and streaming waterfalls.

On previous visits we visited Paradise Point and Magic Ice. We wanted to see more of the island this time so booked The Best of St. Thomas tour. You ride on an open air bus and shop at several over looks: Beacon Point, Valdemar A. Hill, Sr. Drive Scenic Overlook, Mountain Top and The Great House and Botanical Gardens. The tour felt a bit rushed. They give you about 10 minutes at the over looks and 30 minutes at the Mountain Top and the Gardens. It was decent but I've had just as much fun walking to the Sky Ride and going up to Paradise Point for a third of the price.

$8.00 for adults and $5.00 charged ( even for my 13 yr old daughter). Staff very friendly. Spectacular views from top observatory. Grounds pretty well kept. Had some birds in cages, gift shop, restaraunt, free sample of rum punch or water. We went as St. Peter's is directly across the street from Tree Limin zip line. That way, you can do two activities in one excursion.

The tour vehicle was in poor condition with bald tires and the smell of burnt rubber while driving around. We complained to Princess and were given a discount. Overall was disappointed in this tour.

Lovely views but not a true botanical garden.

Tour operator (booked on line) didn't show but another operator said he was filling in for Island Marketing and then charged us an additional $55 to take use to a dumpy beach and places to buy island junk

Transport was a F350 pickup with 6 rows of 4 seats each - surprisingly comfortable.
