San Francisco Sausalito Excursion Reviews

San Francisco Sausalito cruise excursion
Overall Rating
Located just minutes from San Francisco at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito is also the gateway to the legendary California wine country, majestic redwoods and wild northern coast.

Sausalito was so! so!, hamburger place was terrible do not eat there. Very greasy and they would not even cut the burger in two for us.

Would have been more enjoyable earlier in the day when the weather was a little warmer but overall a nice experience

Sausolito is a nice town with very nice shops and a great view of San Francisco. Rode the ferry across the bay back to San Francisco where we had some great sunset views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

This a total ripoff. First the inept bus driver missed the Vista Point exit and denied everyone a spectacular photo op of the Golden Gate bridge. Then we go to Sausalito which is not far, for 45 minutes which is spent scrambling to get something to eat. Sausalito is basicially four blocks. Not worth it.

Sausalito is a great place to visit while in port. Excellent dining options and a very friendly vibe to the town. A nice experience and a great way to spend a day.

Clean interesting and nearly, normal town with sharp businesses. A nice reprise from the City. Nice roads and interesting areas with boats of every description.

On our way back from the Muir Woods we stopped in Sausalito.
But we were disappointed. The shops where not so nice (compared to Avalon).
Everything was very expensive. We did not have to see it again.

We did the Muir Wood and Sausalito in the morning til 1:00 with Best Bay. We did Alcatraz on our own, buying tickets for the 2:10 time slot. Enjoyed all we did very much! If you really want to ride the Cable Car, you need a plan. You need to get a taxi and drive to the CA line. Otherwise, you will spend half your day in line trying to get a ticket then getting in line to actually ride. We tried and gave up, getting the taxi and going to the other line.
