The tour guide!!! She took us in and only showed us 2 things. Then wanted to give us 15 minutes and leave. I raised a stink and wanted to see more. She magnanimously gave us an extra 15 minutes. We RAN into the site, which was extensive!!! I ran around taking pictures and marveling. We ran back. On time, but everyone else on the bus. The tour guide actually said, "There! Are you happy now?" No I was not happy because Kourion has MANY more sites to see and we were gypped. We paid a LOT of money for a cruise tour, but were only shown a small part of the site. NOT HAPPY.

The House of Eustolios is well worth the visit. The mosaics they've uncovered and preserved are spectacular (speaking as a quilter gathering ideas for future projects).

Cyprus: We only had a half day, so we opted for a shore excursion to a mountain wine making village (Omodhos) and some Greek and Roman (Kourion) ruins. The town of Limassol was a let down compared to the other ports, but there are some nice cafes and shops along the waterfront and nice beaches close by.
