Cabo San Lucas Mini Submarine Excursion Reviews
We has a great time...it was a beautiful day, and the ride was mostly at the surface, only going under to the viewing area when we reached the spot where the fish were used to being fed. Actually though, a few years ago I took a much cheaper local glass bottom boat and saw just as many fish, PLUS the smaller boats could get up closer to the rocks to see the sealions...with the bigger sub, we had to stay farther away...We went geocaching and went to Pancho's Bar and whetted our whistle with several tequilas and homemade chips and salsa/pico de gallo REALLY Yummy!
The security was provided now by the Mexican Navy, so didn't see the guys with AK-47's patrolling the docks like we did the last few times, which was a bit more pleasant.
After tendering to the Cabo pier, waited about 30 minutes for the mini-sub to arrive (prior tour was late getting back). You ride on top of the mini-sub when traveling to and from the Land's End area, then ride in the sub to see the marine life for 45 minutes or so. It was comfortable inside, cool and not crowded at all. We didn't see anything really special (wanted to see turtles), but the fish we did see were plentiful and beautiful. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Bottled water included.
