Skagway Historical Tour Excursion Reviews
Loved Skagway. Wonderful tour - Brothels and Ghosts -, interesting history, a charming "Madame". Everything about this tour to be recommended. Not impressed with the Red Onion Saloon. Didn't stay. Travellers who did, said they met surly staff and poor service.
Educated and courteous guides.
We took the park ranger led free tour of Gold Rush National Park. It is only a few buildings, but the ranger really brought the development of Skagway and the Gold Rush to life. And best of all, it was FREE!
Went to the National Park Service and took a free walking tour with a Ranger!
We sat in a parking lot for a while, (Princess was not very organied) then were called to a bus that was nearly full and driven to Carcross in the Yukon, the bus windoiws fogged up, so there wasn't much scenery to see, when we arrived in Carcross, there was no time to see the town, we had to get right on the train.
The train ride was really good, it had less to do with Princess and more to do with how well the train was run.
The busride was bad, foggy windows, and nobody telling us what to expect (the people who booked the tour were all freaking out when they announced on the train that they would be collecting tickets (a small thing, but the people running this tour should have told us this, and that the train would be stopping for lunch).
