By the time we got ashore, ( we did customs etc there) most of the tours had left, so we negotiated an island tour with a taxi for $120. Was OK, however he was very hard to understand dispite being in Maui for 33 years! We thought the total was all inclusive, however Charlie hit us up for a tip at the end! We had lots of rain there which apparently is a bit rare for that side of the island. Quick visit to the ABC shop for a $2 rain coat. Actually was quite cold.

Did a huge 8hr tour of the island to all areas except Heavenly Hana...great tour and even got an awesome cd of wonderful Hawaiian music for free!! Did have a great lunch as well...our tour lunches have surpassed the quality of the food we had on the ship!!

Maui Country Farm Tours. Small company, owners are local people who added a lot of extra value because they knew so much about the island. The Lavendar farm was amazing. The driver, Rick, stopped to show us surfers, pineapple groves, the sugar mill, and all sorts of extras along the way to the Tedeschi Vineyard. Go and google this tour company and I promise you they will treat you like family if you visit Maui.

Excellent. Tim was our guide in a 12-person van. He was very good! Informative and enjoyable. The only negative is that it was a bit long. (8:05AM- 5:35PM). On the second day, we also visited a local beach... the beach was blanketed with beautiful wind kites, and they were entertaining us with their skills, sometimes leaving the water and actually reaching 15 feet into the air. It was quite a site to see.
