Ensenada is not the jewel of the Pacific. Wine tasting tours and the La Bufadora (blow hole) tour are basically all Ensenada has to offer (beside being close to California which makes complying with the PVSA its biggest draw as far as the cruise lines are concerned).
It is a typical Mexican city. Be prepared for a slightly run down look and little kids begging for money or trying to sell you something you don't really want.
