Long bus ride. Bandol pretty but everything closed on Sunday we were there. Le Castellet was pretty and worth the ride up to it. Great view of the valley.

Actual port was Toulon. Our afternoon tour was 4 hours, with an excellent clear spoken guide. La Castellet is a medieval village with wonderful little shops with a wide range of products from the Provence region. Enjoyed great local Rose wine. Varney was also lovely seaside resort area, full of touristy shops and eateries, that was obviously a popular local resort area. Very nice. Overall, we saw two contrasting sites, with adequate time to enjoy both.
