Meander along the Juneau coastline as local captains and crew take you through areas known for their abundance of harbor seals, bald eagles and occasionally even bears.

The next day was in Juneau. We took the HAL tour "Best of Juneau Whale Watching/Mendenhal Glacier and Orca Point Lodge." This was a boat tour in the sound and we saw many whales. Lunch at the Orca Point lodge was quite good.

Hubby enjoyed the experience, but thought it was different from his expectations. He mentioned limited time for salmon fishing.

We didn't leave the ship in Juneau but we did buy the excursion to Tracy Arm and it was amazing, saw bears whales, a calving glacier and it was remarkable even if it had to go to Endicott instead of Tracy arm (still too much ice) My husband said he didn't know if we should have went on this because glacier bay was so much more amazing than we thought it would be. I would take it again.
