A Taste of Puetro Vallarta - bus ride to the older part of the city. A trip to the "Opal Mine," tourist shop that sells expensive fire opals, a bit more walking, back on the bus, a walk through another area with nothing much of interest except a bad sculpture of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Then to the restaurant for a cooking lesson. Highlight of the trip! Small (but free) Margarita. You learned to make salsa (with great chips!), guacamole, a tostada with shredded pork, and a chicken enchilada with mole sauce. Much more food than we expected and it was very good.

We visited a local market and bought some inredients. The location for the cooking class was beautiful. The chef and the guide very nice. We prepared a three course meal and enjoyed it together. Tequila tasting was also included.

Great tour, little disconcerting the bus trip to the restaurant, but we got there and it was fun making our own tortilla and salsa. Margarita's were top notch

This was a fun tour, with Alejandro, our guide. Took a bus tour of the town, then went to Hacienda Dona Engracia, where we had a tequila tasting, then lunch, then great entertainment. My wife bought a beautiful leather pocketbook, for $70, which started out at $120.
