Built in 1626, Nijo Castle was once the Kyoto home of the Tokugawa Shogunate. This must-see compound includes two palaces, fortifications, and several beautiful gardens.

I did a tour to the highlights of Kyoto. It was quite a beautifull place. Very basic but beautifull. Allot of attention is paid to the gardens and shrines. It is certainly a place of contrast in comparisson to Chinese ports just before we arrived here. I was very satisfied with my time in Kyoto.
