This excursion was very good, nice cruise in the harbor and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Learned a lot about the island and its famous inhabitants.

This was a whole-island tour on board one of Bermuda's "pink elephant" buses. The five hour tour with "C.B." as our driver was a delightful insider's view of all nine parishes. Since the stores and restaurants away from King's Wharf are closed on Sundays, he took us quickly through Hamilton and St. George, and then added some other sights including St. Catherine's fort, two lighthouses, an authentic beach bar (which was open but which did not serve coffee). Quite a thorough tour of beautiful Bermuda!

Good overview of the area. If/when we go back, we'll know where to spend more time.

On our next day in port, we hired a private tour guide named Duke Soares. He arrived promptly and was awaiting us as we walked off the ship. His mini van was clean and spacious. He is a native of Bermuda. He was one of the most interesting historians we have ever met. The tour he offers is outstanding. We went to every inch of the island, seeing far more than we ever would have by ourselves. The tour lasted 6 hours, including a stop for lunch. He showed us the most beautiful places and beaches. We saw private homes, gardens, lighthouses and the dunking ceremony in st. George. The cost is the standard taxi fare of $40 per hour. He will take from 1-4 people for the same price, up to six for a bit more. This was worth every penny. Seeing the scooter driver trying to manipulate the windy roads was terrifying at times. Duke would stop often to show us things most would pass by. He is a true historian, he knows in Bermuda and its history in great detail. Again, this tour should not be missed.
