Colon (Cristobal) City Tour Excursion Reviews

We disembarked the cruise ship in the middle of Gatun Lake and were tendered to shore where we got on our mini bus for the drive to Old Panama City. The walking tour took us to the Old City, the Colonial City and to a museum. Our tour guide Javier spoke excellent English and kept the walking pace fast but slow enough for everyone to keep up. The Colonial part of the city was the most interesting and there was a short 20 minute time period for limited shopping

This was the best excursion we took. The guide was very entertaining and the visit to the Panama canal - altough crouded and way too short for my taste, was very interesting. Due to the 1.5 hour late start of the tour, we were running late but the guide made no attempt to cut our experience short and get us back. Of course the ship waited on us and other tours that got started late that day. However, the late start resulted in early dinner seatings being missed upon our return.

Found a guide off-ship. He drove us all around for $100. Took us over to Panama City. We stopped at the new observation site for the new widened locks being built on the Atlantic side. Very impressive. As usual, the guide was hard working and honest.

An outstanding tour to an authentic Embera Village. One of the more interesting tours I have ever taken. I definitely would recommend!

Went to Panama City. This is a 6.5 hour tour and the minivan the put you in is not comfortable for that long of a time. The tour was interesting but just too cramped on this size of a minivan. The need a bigger bus with a restroom on board.
