A bit rushed. We seemed to be practically running through the streets until we reached the theater, but we spent a lot of time at the theater. We also had plenty of free time afterwards, which we extended by taking the shuttle back to the ship.

The Teatro Greco was quite well maintained. At the time that we visited, they were preparing the site for the annual Taorima film festival so they had erected a huge stage and seating that spoilt the natural feel and view of the theatre. The town of Taorima was itself quite beautiful with numerous paths leading off the main pedestrian street. Well worth exploring for some arts and crafts if you have the time.

Royal Caribbean bus took us to Taormina. After a short walk, we paid for admission to the theatre. Great views from the theatre.

The tour of Taormina and the Greek Theater were nice, but brief. We had little free time (only about 40 min.) to shop in Taormina, but the town was nice and scenic, with the theater being the highlight with its great views of the sea and Mt. Etna.

We decided to go to the Theater when in Taormina and are happy we did - the others in our group did not want to pay the fee

Loved this city. Looking over Mount Etna was stunning and the greek theatre is a real treat. Also a hidden gem is the communal gardens. These were so pretty and we were so happy we took the effort for a visit. We also did the cable car to the beach and found a lovely one with crystal clear seas, and a lovely pasta restaurant.
