Took the bus tour from Rotterdam's port to Amsterdam. What a huge city and busy with lots of hustle bustle! Good tour but skimmed by the Red Light district with barely a comment as we passed. We had lunch at the oldest restaurant in Holland called "The Five Flies" which has the insignia built into the floor. The soup was served in a glass but not much flavour. However we were served chicken breast that was on the tough side but okay. This quaint small, dark place was built in the 17th century. There are some streets closed off to traffic. The streets are really narrow and have the scooters and bikers in their own lane but it's non stop traffic. This was a nine hour tour but glad we had the opportunity to visit the city.

Two and a half hours of a good coach tour, the weather was not nice, so great to be on a coach being shown around, being given the history of the City

A standard tour around the city. I was surprised by how close the ship comes into the city center. I was also impressed by the variety of architecture in the buildings of Rotterdam. Since it was devastated by WW2, the city has been rebuilt and displays many interesting architectural styles. One of the highlights was on departure from the pier. A men's vocal group was assembled dockside and sang for us as the ship pulled away.
