See the real Palma de Mallorca on a private tour. Take a break from the beach and head to the interior to explore the villages of Valldemossa.
Organised through roll call on cruise critic. Alex was an excellent guide. We saw the cathedral and castle in Palma, then on to the train to soller plus the tram to the port. Then off to Valdemossa including the monastery and a Chopin recital before heading back to the ship. A great day!
I decided to book a private tour for four to Valldemosa and Soier as we had a shorter day in port. The booking process was very simple and they were very prompt in responding to emails. Our tour guide (Alex) met us at the port right on time and she was very easy to find - there was no confusion as they gave us great instructions where to meet them. I highly recommend you ask for Alex as your guide. She was friendly, knowledgable, and very enthusiastic about Mallorca. The tour had us back to the port with plenty of time to spare (1+ hour) and we never felt rushed. If you are toying with the idea of skipping a cruise line excursion I highly recommend this tour company. You get the expertise of guided tours you would find with a cruise line minus the big tour bus. This privacy allows he tour company to fit the tour to your groups needs and you will see so much more.
Our Viator guide was excellent, taking us to all of the major highlights I wanted to see, including into the Arabian Baths. We would have missed some of the modernista buildings, if she hadn't taken us there. Also, lunch was excellent, as was the pastry stop we went to before.
Short tour of city was all that was available for anyone with limited walking ability.
Fortunately we speak French and Spanish and went on the tour given in these languages as English tour cancelled. Again due to very short stay this was all that was available.
