Limassol City Tour Excursion Reviews

Limassol City Tour cruise excursion
Overall Rating
Take a tour of historic Limassol, a city that is in the midst of everything. Along with the extremely hospitable residents, you'll find ancient mosques alongside Greek Orthodox churches, and broad shopping boulevards lined with boutiques that showcase up-and-coming designers.

My husband and I left the kids onboard at the kids' club and opted for an MSC-sponsored jeep safari of the island, including stops at Agros for tours of a sweet factory and a rosewater distillery, at the highest waterfall in Cyprus (not very impressive in comparison to other falls), and at Lania, a picturesque town with a 500-year-old church. Overall, we felt like the jeep safari was not worth the steep price tag. The stops were too short for such a long drive, and it was too cold to open the jeep's top, so we missed much of the scenery in its cramped backseat.

We did a group tour that included the main sights (Kolossi, Limassol castle, Temple of Apollo, Curium). It was a great way to see Cyprus.

Tour guide was dreadful. Limassol was much changed in 15 years, dirty, run down with no buzz at all. Would not repeat tour. Guide was not helpful and glad to return to ship.

The tour was nice --- got to see some of the city - a little too much on museums and not enough on the flavor of the city. I did enjoy going to the carpet shop -- found that interesting. Was inexpensive and worth the price.

Interest in history and/or archaelogy is rather essential. An excellent guide who really knew city and the island and made the tour rather intersting.
