A motorcoach ride away from Kusadasi, the Ephesus Museum is home to some of the most extraordinary antiquities in the world: the famous Lady of Ephesus represents one of the most unique and special depictions of the Greek goddess Artemis known today.

Ephasus was all we had to see at this port.(not the museum) We walked a mile through the remains of a city from 2000BC! (or was it 200? Anyway just facinating.
One last comment on excursions. I felt that all of the guides we had, though interesting, could have learned more facts by just reading on line about the places they took us. We could have done that too...before we left!

Good trip, I think it would be too hard on your own, definitely worth seeing. I loved shopping in Kusadasi too....best shopping of the trip...great prices.

Kusadasi is how you get to Ephesus. Ephesus is great, although it was unbearably hot when we were there in June. And of course it is crowded.
Kusadasi itself doesn't have much going for it. You can seek out bargains in the market - however this is really and exercise in getting the price reduced from a clearly inflated level to something close to reasonable. If you enjoy buying used cars you can enjoy Kusadasi.
