The Sakip Sabanci Museum houses an excellent collection of art reflective of the taste and history of the region—beautiful calligraphy, meticulously crafted religious texts, hundreds of classical Ottoman paintings, and an impressive array of porcelain from around the world.

The venue was very interesting but sadly the visit was marred by a very poor audio system which was so blurred that we were unable to hear the tour-guide's commentary. Also not enough time to look round independently and far too much time standing around for no apparent reason and without explanation. The tour included visits to the Blue Mosque and the Underground Cistern.
