A regular cruiser, highly disappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Horizon

Me and my family a group of 6 decided to take this cruise for the second time as 6 years ago we had an amazing time. Well, this time around it’s incredible how in a 6 year turn around, this has been terrible. The food was terrible. The lobster was horrible as it wasn’t well cooked. The steak was more fat then steak. The spaghetti was hard and this was only the restaurant for dinner time. For ...

This was our 8th cruise on Royal Caribbean. we've been on the Oasis class at least 4 times and on the Quantum class 4 times. The quantum class is our favorite, and the Odyssey did not disappoint. Embarkation: we signed up for the KEY program, which comes with free Wi-fi streaming for each guest who gets the key, and you can board early and there are a few benefits throughout the cruise (we ...

Loved the ship! Food was mid, Rough disembarkation

Me and my family loved the ship itself. So much for both the kids and the adults to do! But, the food didn’t taste that great. I’ve cruised with carnival many times before and the food has never tasted this bad. Step up your game carnival we know what you’re capable of!!! If you want your next time cruisers to have a 10/10 experience, I’d suggest upping up the food game and making sure the ...

LACKLUSTER CRUISE

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

For the amount of money we paid for this cruise. It was not worth it. 1. Our balcony room couch/bed was like a hard block. We had to double up on comforters for the kids to sleep better. 2. the stateroom attendant was never around. We had to constantly call for towels, toilet paper, tissues. 3. the Windjammer food was the same for breakfast every day and even during lunch and dinner ...

Cost cutting throughout, below RC Standards

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

Despite prices rising the last few years across all of RC’s ships, the cost cutting continues. Once a day stateroom service is a joke. RC should be embarrassed by this. When I was at guest services for a different matter, they grasped at straws to come up with explanations, or as I called them, excuses, as to why this was the case. My favourite was, “well all inclusive resorts only offer once a ...

A family of 14 travelled to Fort Lauderdale for an incredible gift from my mom on this adventure. I haven't been cruising for about 10 years (raising my kids) and I really loved my return to open water! Good things: 1. The ship was well maintained and flowed nicely. Our cabin and room attendant was 5star plus. 2. The windjammer was better than I remembered. 3. The ports of call ...

Major drop in service levels

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Arvia

We have been on Iona a number of times so as this is the sister ship, we expected a similar experience. So wrong there ! Also, the staff came over as uninterested, some were just downright rude. It did not make for a happy atmosphere which for me totally ruined the holiday. Lets start with food. On the Iona, the Olive Grove is Italian fare. Not on Arvia. My Ceasar salad starter was literally ...

I was on the March 16-23, 2024 Southern Caribbean Cruise with the Atlantis Events charter group. I'll try to sum up best I can: 1) The Ship: Designed for Instagram, not for comfort. From the torturous metal furniture to the rock-hard cabin beds to Deck 16 -- half of which is cluttered with hideous private cabanas that obscure all views of the sea -- to the ridiculously tiny pool to the lack of ...

End of Royal Caribbean or Yikes, is the really what they call food?

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

I have 12 Royal cruises under my belt before this and number 13 was NOT the lucky one. I cruised with my wife and my 17 year old son. This was the first RC cruise I went on where I did not have that, "I want to come back" feeling. The GOOD 1. Our waiter in the main dining room was spectacular. She was the shinning star of the cruise. 2. The casino was less smokey compared to other ...

Review for a Amazon River Cruise on Viking Sea

User Avatar

As expected …service and food were wonderful. The cruise was a unique one. The Amazon River is enormous and you can not appreciate it without seeing it. I would recommend starting from Manaus, Brazil and finishing in San Juan, Puerto Rico if you take this voyage. Seeing the river and culture and then moving to the fun and relaxation of the islands made for a splendid expedition. From bird ...
