We loved Wellington - shuttle took into centre and nice walk along harbour and marina to Te Papa - amazing - then took Cable Car up to where we could have got free shuttle to Zeelandia but we didn't have time so we walked down through the Botanic Gardens - superb. Very doable on your own off the shuttle. Go for cable car early because it gets very busy but it is very efficient too and wait isn't ...

Did laundry here at Mall Drycleaning on Johnston St, which is about a 5-10 min walk from where the shuttle drops you off. Then took cable car up to the top of the botonical gardens. There we found a free shuttle to Zealandia, which we took. Zealandia was awesome, lots of birds. Botanical gardens were OK. Old Church of St. Paul was nice as well - it was cool seeing the old wood structure. ...

Took shuttle to 2nd drop/pick up poit and went to the Museum... very comprehensvie, but map/plan atrocious, couldn't find my way around. I particularly wanted to learn about the aarival of the Maori people. I learnt something but it did not answer all my quesions.
