We love Hop on Hop off and chose this in most every port. The WiFi and headsets did not work on most of these buses which was disappointing. I would not choose Hop on Hop off at Stockholm. ...
We spent three nights in Stockholm before boarding the ship. Beautiful, clean city. We explored the Old Town, saw the changing of the guards at the Royal Palace, and spent one day on the island which houses the Vasa museum (amazing!) and Skansen museum (fun to explore). ...
We took a taxi from the Port to the Vasa museum. It cost 80 Euros. Let us say the taxi driver did arrange the conversion from sweden crowns to Euros at his advantage. He didn't offer credit card payment. We came back by foot with the help of Google maps on my Smart phone. 1 hour walk. So, don't forget your Sweden Crowns. Vasa Museum is terrific to visit. Loved it. Spectacularly pretty Old Town. If you feel like something different, buy a 24hr transport ticket and ride the underground. Each station is decorated differently and some of the artwork is incredible. ...
Again beautiful place go to end of Cruise terminal buy a 24 hour couch and ferry combined ticked and go by public service boat to the city or by bus No 76 Much easier and cheaper than cruise ship tours.
Abba Museam was amazing if you are Abba fan make sure you pay extra for headphones. ...
Day 1 was good used the hop on hop off bus
Day 2 was something of a failure the bus never turned up at the terminal. After waiting for one and half hours we eventually took a taxi in to the city and only managed part of our itinery (failed to get to the Abba museum because of lack of time wasted in the morning )
I would not recomend the hop on hop off bus here ...
