Just wandered around town. Unfortunately we got accosted by some people selling a travel company...kind of like a timeshare presentation for travel services. We got sucked in and it was a total waste of time...only good part is we avoided the morning rain. By the time we finally got out, it was a nice day...and time for a rum drink! If you get approached...RUN! ...
Had a wonder round the endless jewellery shops then went on the beach and had a swim, very nice. Had the misfortune of going in Diamonds International, what a dreadful place! Jumped on by pushy sales staff the minute we got through the door, no prices so an item of jewellery could be anything from £500-£50000 for all I knew so we just walked out. We were going to buy something but didn't spend ...
Very nice port to wander about, took water taxi to other side of bay, lots of tours (presumably time share) but they're only interested in Americans ...
Took a cab to Orient Beach. Beach bars all down the beach, side by side. Paid $20 for 2 loungers with pads, umbrella, wi-fi and 2 rum punch drinks (or reg punch option). Was $20 for 2 people in a private cab going. Shared a shuttle cab on the way back for $7 each I think it was. We didn't eat but all the bars seemed to serve things like burgers and conch.
