We docked at Mahogany Bay for the first time. It is well developed and you can have a good time if you just stay there (shops, beach area, restaurants, snorkeling, etc). We hired a cab for 2.5 hours and ate at a local restaurant. Roatan is beautiful but extreme proverty is everywhere as so much trash. Trash in the water, trash on the streets. ...
Took the AJ's Sloth, Monkey, etc... excursion through RC. Highly recommended. Loved it. Only down side is we didn't get enough time holding the sloths. LOL ...
The area around the ship is not nice, but if you do an excursion, then there are a lot a great things to see and do, especially snorkeling and scuba diving
