We don't enjoy flying so we drove to Ridgefield, NJ and stayed overnight in a very nice Hampton Inn that had just been renovated (all new, now) and the staff went beyond expectations. We left our car at the hotel for the week and we were shuttled to the Manhattan Cruise Port - delivered right to the ship at 9:30AM. Great for us as we live in NJ and can take a Lyft or Uber to the port. We are used to NYC (traffic, people, etc), so nothing really to report here. If you're not from the area or haven't experienced NYC otherwise, it can be overwhelming and I highly recommend giving yourself lots of extra time to navigate. ...
