This rating is for the embarkation experience. The port was extremely difficult to find, as New Orleans signage all led you in the wrong direction. We had to hunt down a baggage handler. The terminal felt extremely closed in, and the lines were ridiculously long. We've never waited so long to board. As a result, NCL did not even take our embarkation photo. Stayed at the Ritz on Canal St for two nights prior to the cruise, thanks to Marriott Rewards points. When we checked in, they offered us a promo - $100 per night for a club level room, with club privileges. Why not - three meals a day plus drinks. Flew in two days early. Stayed at the French Market Inn. Would totally stay there again. It was a beautiful hotel that was close to everything and still managed to be quite despite all the craziness surrounding it.
