The best excursion was here. We did Kaleakala Crater at Sunrise. Our tour guide was beyond amazing and was a wealth of information. You are dock in an industrial area. It is at least a 10-15 min. walk to a strip mall. ...

Was at Lahaina. Limited availability for rental cars- taxis would charge $75 for a ride to the airport to get one. We hired a taxi for 90 minutes and had him drive us around then had a great lunch in town. ...

Only port and excursion that was bad. Port is in the middle of nowhere with no maps or guides giving direction. I went on a “Snorkeling with Turtles” excursion which should have read “Snorkeling and afternoon cruise” Although drinks and a lunch was served, I wanted to see turtles. The way the description read I thought we were going to a turtle sanctuary or place to see turtles. We didn’t see ...

Good lord. It’s a port. Lots of security. There’s no welcome wagon. There’s no helpers to guide you. When you get off the ship you walk about 7 minutes to the main road where there is a shopping center. You can pick up an Uber/Lyft there. Depending on the driver, s/he can bring you to the ship on return. NCL could spend a few bucks and jazz up their area. ...

The port is on the not pretty side of the island, and if the ship is sold out of excursions there is nothing reasonable to go do in the amount of time in dock. ...

We decided to book a small group Road to Hana tour through Valley Isle Excursions. We booked in advance directly through their website. We considered booking the Road to Hana tour through NCL but didn’t know if it was a large or small group plus it was not available for the first day and we didn’t want to book on day 2 and be rushed getting back to the cruise port on time. Josh, our tour guide, ...

Rented a car for the first day only. Shopping in Lahaina, then quick lunch back on the ship, then drove up Haleakala to watch the sunset. There's a bit of a walk from the pier to the street and it was hot. Easy to park at the mall for a little while though, we didn't attempt overnight parking. A Lyft from the airport rental drop off back to the ship was fairly easy and drove us right up to the ...
