I did not spend much time in Southampton as we drove down to London, parked and boarded the cruise, however being a student in this city, I can tell you that there is not much to do in the way of culture/excursions however if you are there for a day or 2 I would visit neighbouring cities/towns such as Gunwharf quays in Portsmouth for some designer outlet shopping and the New Forrest if you enjoy ...

Easy to get to the terminal from the bus drop off. Folks were helpful and friendly. However, there was some confusion between the ship and terminal employees as to when we, as Aqua Class and Captain's Clum members could board the ship. We had instructions from Celebrity that we could board any time after 1030, but the terminal employees were not aware of this arrangement. ...
Since we boarded in Rotterdam, Southampton was a port day and we didn't have to be onboard until 8:30pm. We had hoped to go into London for the day but were told by the people we met on the ship that there is construction on the Waterloo line which was causing headaches to opted for the nearby city of Winchester for the day.
