So it is a very easy port to arrange your own transport. They also have tour guides and taxis fighting for your business. We went to the ruins at Olympia and they were very interesting and enjoyable. We also had a great lunch in the ...

We had been to old Olympia before so we decided to just hop off and walk around at the port. We then saw a bus for €10 that was going to Pyrgos. Can’t say it was that enjoyable and there wasnt a lot to see at Pyrgos. If you’ve never been you should take the trip to Olympia at least once otherwise just recommend walking around the port and checking out the local shops and restaurants. ...

Then it was off on our tour. We had chosen to go beyond the included tour to do one called, "Syrtaki, Greek Food & Ancient Olympia." What we got were two tours. One half was the included tour of hell (oops, I meant Olympia) and the other was absolutely wonderful food and dance experience at Syrtaki. Let me explain. This visit to Katakalon we determined we would finally take a tour to Olympia. WE had visited this few block long town WE booked a tour for a minibus from "My Olympia Tours" and worked out an itinerary .It was sold as a fixed Euro amount for bus and driver for a full day out. With 16 passengers it was 20 Euros each plus admissions on an al la carte choice. The Olympia grounds were the ...
