Book a local tour. We used Andrew Stathopoulos and paid 154 Euros for a day trip for four to Olympia, a winery and the beach. Olympia tickets, wine and food are extra. Don't waste money on the excursion. We ended up at the same winery as the excursion, paid less and got more personal service! ...

The ship ties up within easy walking distance of the main town. We found Geo Travel just outside the port gates(they yell and wave their hands to get your attention) that charged 6 euros return for the coach ride to Olympia. You have to wait some time for the other passengers to sign up. The train was also running and for 10 euros return was reported to be slower but quite an adventure. We ...

Went to beach, as we just needed a rest after Athens. Walked through the town to beach about 10 mins walk away lovely sandy beach, with free sun-beds and wifi from 2 bars as long as you bought a drink. only 3 euro for a large beer so good prices too. free use of paddle board, kyaks and inflatables for kids. ...
