Holland America visits Haines in lieu of Skagway every other week. There are numerous museums, shops, and places of interest. You will be told that the bus pickups are every 15 minutes. Don't depend on it as the drivers don't seem to care for schedules as they chat with riders at the expense of those waiting along the route. This is a laid back town so don't be in a hurry. A very small, but cute, town. In fact, they informed us that there were more people on the ship than in the town! This led to some poor ship-city communication; the ferry took off at 10:45 with four passengers and we de-boarded at 10:50.
