We caught one of the first tenders as there were 6 ships in port that day due to all the reshuffling caused by the hurricanes. We took a taxi to Royal Palm Beach Club on 7 Mile Beach. Thankfully it was a short ride as we were packed like sardines in the van. It is $4 per person each way. We found a scooter rental shop, just outside the port and to the left, and rented a scooter for $60 U.S./three hours. We rode out into the country and had a blast, just driving around. The traffic was easy and driving on the left was fun for this American. We would have any number of restaurants and shops along the way by simply taking a taxi.
