Tenders are required at this port. The staff did an excellent job organizing the process of getting on the tenders, which resulted in minimum wait times. It was a smooth boat ride into port. Since we have been to the island several times, we elected just to walk around the city and explore the shops. We went to Royal Palms - nice to just pay $2 to enter the complex and pay $12 for a lounge chair (which comes with chair-side waiter service). However, GC is very expensive and crowded - you get packed (yes, packed) into a taxi bus and hauled to your destination. You can end-up sitting in the van for 20 minutes or longer until the driver fills all the seats in the van. My advise, use Uber or ...
