We live about 45 minutes from Galveston but drove in the night before so we didn't have to deal with the fog. Hotel was decent for the price. Close to the cruise terminal parking. Parking was simple and secure. Used the shuttle to travel from the lot to the terminal. From luggage drop off to onbaord and in room took about an hour thanks to priority boarding. ...
