We chose a tour with Viator to see Florence and Pisa in one day. We’ve been to those cities before, but wanted our children and grandchildren to see them. We spent 3.5 hours in Florence and 1.5 hours in Pisa. Although the time period was brief, we showed them the highlights of both places in the allotted time frame. We were charged 7 Euros per person to get a shuttle to the city center where we ...

Wow! Such a fun and relaxed port to visit. We hired a private guide to take my family on an all-day tour of the hill town of Volterra and the Bolgheri wine region. The countryside was amazing, Volterra was super-cool with it's fairy castle vibe while the small village of Bolgheri was a joy to shop and dine. We enjoyed a great lunch at a restaurant in Bolgheri then wine tasting at a local winery. ...

No matter the crowds, Florence is not to be missed. Sometimes it included the Leaning Tower of Pisa, up to you, but its a 1/2 hour walk to get ...

Pretty, but sooooo crowded. We also had bad weather this day and were soaked. Definitely not the fault of Florence, but so many people in so many crowded spots. If you love art...there are so many beautiful things to see. Pisa was one of my favorites. Just such a beautiful area with beautiful architecture. Livorno was an hour and a half away from Florence, but was a pretty town to drive ...
