Took a taxi to Paradise Beach. $15 for up to 4 people. 10-15 min ride from port. Well worth the trip! $3.00 to get in. Met by friendly staff that escorted us to our chairs on the beach. Water was too cold to swim in so went to the large, heated pool instead. Food was excellent and the service was as well. Definitely will be back. ...
Hate this port because everyone there is pushy trying to get you in there to spend money. Also the price of things is so crazy that you know you can talk them down you just have to be willing to walk away and see if they will do something better. Ahead of the cruise we booked a day pass at el Cozumeleño Beach Resort, for $55 U.S./person. As I recall the cab ride was 15 or 20 minutes from the port. Food, alcohol, the beach, and the pool (and mini-golf and probably other things) were included in the price.
