Best port of all !!! Get ready to make some deals, and yes I mean DEALS. You need to start negotiations at 1/4 the price and go from there. Dont buy at the ship trap off the boat, walk out of that area past senior frogs and then your in the real cozumel. Good luck and see how good you are at barganing thats when it gets fun!!!! ...

Once you get through the gauntlet of beggers and hawkers, you can stroll the street. Got some pretty aggressive street people here, be warned...it gets annoying for someone to follow you and not let up the sales pitch....WHEW....found a nice little café, hidden down a street....good people at the café. Pretty place.. ...

Took a taxi to Paradise Beach. $15 for up to 4 people. 10-15 min ride from port. Well worth the trip! $3.00 to get in. Met by friendly staff that escorted us to our chairs on the beach. Water was too cold to swim in so went to the large, heated pool instead. Food was excellent and the service was as well. Definitely will be back. ...

Hate this port because everyone there is pushy trying to get you in there to spend money. Also the price of things is so crazy that you know you can talk them down you just have to be willing to walk away and see if they will do something better. We saw people looking for a towel get told that it was $25 each and finally end up paying $10 for 2 towels. $140 necklace and only paying $20. This ...

Ahead of the cruise we booked a day pass at el Cozumeleño Beach Resort, for $55 U.S./person. As I recall the cab ride was 15 or 20 minutes from the port. Food, alcohol, the beach, and the pool (and mini-golf and probably other things) were included in the price. The included food buffet featured seafood, various meats, a good salad bar, plus burgers and fries for those so inclined. After reading ...
