This was another pleasantly surprising port. An easy walk from the ship, we went for a swim at the beautiful beach. The sand and water were incredible. Afterwards we walked through town to get a feel and back to the ship. Was a great relaxing end to a fabulous cruise. ...

We were in Ajaccio on a rainy Sunday. Although there was a bustling local food market in the central square, almost all the shops were closed. We took the yellow bus tour of the city (cost 8 Euros), which went out to the Sanguinaire islands. The tour lasts about an hour and gives you a good overview of the city and the area near by.. Docked in the north (Ille Rousse but not available on drop down). Hired a car of the day and drove around the beautiful mountains and villages in the area, and keeping well ahead of the fleet of tour buses. Finished in Calvi and then to the boat. Great day and away from the tourist crowds in buses. Picked up and dropped off by the company on the dock side. Euro 65 for the day plus petrol. ...
