I took a hop on-hop off bus that didn't let me off when I wanted to, so that was a bust. Apparently the driver said people on another cruise were in a hurry so he didn't have time to let everyone off near the downtown area - didn't make sense to me, and I didn't want to go all the way around so I just went back to port. The traffic is horrible, so the full trip took 2 hours (not 1 as advertised). ...

We had visited here before and done research so we opted for the local bus no 16 cost 1.70 euros into town (good 10 -15 minute walk from ship to where the bus was located.

I loved Corfu. Since there were six of us, we rented a van and drove around the island. We initially went were the tour busses went, but is was so crowded we found a small private or semi private beach with chairs, umbrellas and a restaurant. The most boring place on the cruise and the cruise port is miles from anywhere useful and when walking out of the cruise port the wheelie bins from the houses and business stink!! Would rather just stay on the ship at this port. Not worth stopping at. First visit to Corfu on previous cruise took the Hop On Hop Off bus, waste of money... there is very little to look at on this stop. ...
