Copenhagen is wonderful, but the port that NCL parked as was in the middle of nowhere. NCL offered no shuttle (they had offered shuttles at other ports, for a fee of course). If you wanted to get anywhere, you had to get a taxi (estimated to cost $45 into the city) or pay for the Hop On Hop Off bus. We took the bus to the Little Mermaid (approx. 10 minute walk from the cruise terminal) and from there planned a circular walk around the city, with a return bus to the cruise terminal. The bus station near to the cruise terminal had a machine where you could purchase tickets in advance, but for the return bus there was no machine so we had to pay using local currency onboard. I stayed three nights before the cruise at Cabinn City Hotel. Good location for the hotel, few minute walk from Central Train Station and Tivoli Gardens.
